PayPal Tips, Improved Video Speeds and Taking the Liver out of Liverpool
Thanks to everyone who joined us today when Liam eventually remembered to flick the switch to open the virtual doors to the clinic!!
If that wasn’t enough to contend with…someone, who shall remain nameless (as well as head hairless) forgot the press record so we have no moving pictures replay this week…. just my moving words!
Anyway, I’ll pull us through don’t worry! Let’s get cracking with this week’s news
Pay me Pal!
Stripe is fully built into our systems now and there’s videos in the Lab that’ll walk you through the complete set up and integration process.
Please remember that if you do use PayPal payments on your app, ensure that users enter into their ‘app email address’ so that the app can make the user connection when they’re logged into the app.
This is really important when setting up subscription services so that all payments go through smoothly and on time!
Video Technology Upgrades:
We’re all about making things quicker when it comes to uploading and viewing video.
Our latest updates now guarantee faster speeds and higher quality.
Can we ask that if you do upload a video to your social feed to try and keep it below 40MB just so that this speed and quality is maintained. Elsewhere on the app it will be fine but the quality may be affected with bigger files on your social feed. Thanks guys!
Please Don’t Fish (PDF) Files
Just another quick helpful hint for when you’re adding a PDF file.
Make sure that you add it as a PDF element rather than downloading the file. This will ensure that the file ‘behaves’ properly within your app and will allow it to be visible.
You’ll soon be able to share these on the desktop too – we’re hoping to have this feature up and running by the next clinic when we’ll share the details with you.
We all know, and appreciate how passionate Darren is about grasping and embracing the opportunity the world (in its own crazy way) is offering to us all at the moment.
Sadly, history will have no record of his speech today – but he only has himself to blame!
I’ll try and sum it up here anyway.
Now is the time to really concentrate on making your brand and your business the best it can possibly be. The world is going online – more so than ever before. Consumers are embracing and immersing themselves in technology and YOU need to ensure that you come out of the other end fighting and in a strong position.
You have to adapt. You have to pivot if you need to. Take action now and you can really put yourself in a massively strong and advantageous position to be the ‘go to business’ in your industry when we all come out the other end of the current “thing.!”
We’ll get there together, with a few slings and arrows along the way!
Even the Big Boys are Affected:
At the moment both Apple and Google are less efficient than normal. Hard to believe, but true!
With that in mind please bear with us when we’re trying the get your apps submitted and accepted by the big boys at the moment. We do so much behind the scenes to make this happen so you guys don’t have to worry about it, but it’s taking a little longer than normal at the moment.
Don’t worry, we’ll make it happen and we really appreciate your patience and understanding
Save your Liver: Move to Liverpool:
(I should work on the slogans for the Tourist Board!)
We’d just like to reassure everyone here at Expert Apps HQ in Liverpool (and working from home at an undisclosed location) is perfectly fine and well.
Liam is taking the time to give his liver a well-earned rest and Darren works too hard to find the time to take 5 friends to the pub anyway!
In all seriousness we obviously hope everyone is staying safe and well and if anyone needs any help with anything, just reach out at any time!
Zoom Clinic Replay:
This is the section of the email that I was going to add the Zoom replay link. I have nothing further to add!
See you next week!
The Help facility on the Expert Apps website https://expertapps.online/ (bottom right-hand corner of all the pages) can help with answering a lot of our most Frequently Asked Questions. If we don’t have an answer for you there and then we’ll give you more ways to contact us so that we can help you as quickly as possible.
If you love something tell us – if you hate something tell us that too! Hit reply and spill the beans!
We hope these updates give you great value and allow us to give a valuable insight into what we’re doing as a business to help you as much as we can.
If you have anything that you’d like more clarity on, or a particular subject you’d like Darren or Liam to talk about at the next clinic then just let us know.
The Clinics are held every Wednesday at 2pm and usually last about 30 minutes or so. Make a date in your diary and we’ll see you then!
